How to design WatchKit apps for Apple Watch
Apple Watch arrived in April 2015 with a new kind of app. A Watch app runs as an extension of its iPhone counterpart, on a screen about an inch and a half across, and users meet it in three places: the notifications that tap their wrist, the Glances one swipe up from the watch face, and the apps themselves.
This whitepaper looks at how designers and brand marketers can make an impact in each of them, and how to carry an iPhone app’s brand onto the wrist, drawing on interviews with Josh Epstein of Punchkick.
