Here’s a brilliant speech delivered at this year’s American Atheists convention by a Dr. Andy Thomson which explains some of the mental processes and mechanisms behind man’s natural affinity towards religion. The subject matter is extremely relevant to my current project on “The Appeal of Religion,” so I decided it was enlightening enough to warrant posting. It’s quite lengthy but, I believe, engaging throughout. Enjoy.
